Review of the “Real” Albums
June 18, 2008 · No Comments
Yeah this rapper Plies man the Florida native with his Definition of Real. The self proclaimed goon who is either that or a cartoon. I’ve will not discuss that today. But his album versus the new other Trill/Real albums lately. Then I need to mention Bun B’s II Trill & Rick Ross Trilla. This tree albums are high anticipated street albums. Lately I’ve used time after work to listen to these albums.
It’s for a reason. One reason only. His album sound like his last. Defintion of Real is sounding like a his II Real Testament. Nothing new under the sound the most sold book saying(the bible) and man its not lying in this case. Plies has the tunes to get the babes in Miami. “Bust It Baby Part 2” who could be the copy of the “Shawty”. The difference is the feature nothing else. “Who Hotter Than Me” is the new “I Am The Club” sounding damn close. “Please Excuse My Hands” and “Hypnotize” is more fun with the concept of copying old ideas. So if you enjoyed his debut album. You’ll enjoy the new since it’s closely the same, sorry. It’s the same or sounding real but not trill. If I could hit the Definition of Real album with a dice throw it’s a definitely 3 no more or less. In Black Jack numbers it would be around 15. The reason is easy to answer. Plies hasn’t stepped his game up. It’s on the same level that the last. Not to forget the last one had the feasible track 100 Years where you really felt what he saying. None on this disc had that magic touch. Keep it pimpin’.
The second review, this one has been out a little while but I’ve haven’t said anything about this disc. It’s about time. The Miami native and Carroll City Cartel leader. Wish to continue where “Hustlin’” went up. Rick Ross is aiming for the stars and lands early. The album has everything and at the same time all the features steal the show. Let me begin really quick: T-Pain, R.Kelly, DJ Khaled, Lil Wayne, Nelly, Young Jeezy, Trick Daddy and so on. Dr. Dre made a classic with major league of features. But this isn’t sounding like a classic. Its good album, nothing bad about it except a few songs that is wack. Like “We Shinin’” is trying to have the good life vibe from the beaches. Ending up like a fill song that could been used by P.Diddy only changed the words Miami and DJ Khaled. I don’t hate I just know that in a few months I’ve won’t bump this one at work. So its time for the dice. I roll its better than Plies. No problemo. I’ll give it a 4 eyes. If we give it in black Jack numbers it would be a solid 18. In that sense it isn’t a secure winner but good enough for some small victories.
Bun B, the last living of the legendary UGK, a Underground King from Housten. Yeah, I’m a fan UGK. Have listen to them since the Dirty Money album. But because of that I know what Bun B can do. Bun B is the phoenix that comes out of the ashes and reign over the area. The album should sold more then it has until now. It’s quality. This is what I vouch for. You want to have the reasons? Ok, they are on the way and riding dirty too. If you know anything about UGK then you know what Bun B stand for in the crew. He is the lyricist in the crew since (RIP.)Pimp C was also producing beats. Bun continues on the road on his second album solo album. Last one had a trunk load of features. You thought Trilla had features, nah man. That’s a beginning, here is loaded. The features are Mya, Juvenile, Pimp C, Lyfe Jennings, Young Buck, David Banner, Lil Wayne, Jazze Pha, Lupe Fiasco, Z-Ro, J. Prince, Rick Ross, 8-Ball, MJG, Webbie, Junior Reid, Lil’ Razah, Chamillionare & Sean Kingston. It’s a few. They are fitted perfect for the songs. You’ll not getting the feel that they are forced to be on it to make it hot (the single song). Like “If I Die II Tonight” with Lyfe and Young Buck. When I saw that first time I thought Lyfe would be strange with Bun but I was wrong. Even on the little cheesy “Pop It 4 Pimp” with Juvenile it’s working. That is true magic.
I guess you got the idea. What album I think best of… yeah II Trill. The lucky dice will be 5 eyes. In Black Jack numbers 20. It’s something you can bump very often without getting bored you’ll enjoy it and think. Man, he really has a fire. The beats are burning down the trap house and tires on your car are retired after this if you don’t getting a copy of II Trill.
The reviews are my personal view. Not a general or something other needs to copy to get credibility. I’m trill and listen to good music. You can hate this but that only make me stronger. UGK 4 Life. Peace.
